Mother's Love 2 - Mom's Lookout by Abraham Hunter *Exclusive Release*

SOLD OUT!
*Exclusive Release*
Only 25 18x24 SN's were available!

If you’ve spent a lot of time watching bears like I have, you’ve probably seen this funny animal behavior! When a cub sees an excellent opportunity, he’ll hop off a tree on his momma’s back and let her do the walking for a while!

This little cub is perched on moms back above the thick, high growth of a summer meadow. The rich tapestry of wildflowers might obscure moms vision, but her baby is her periscope! He can see for miles! It reminded me of what it felt like to be lifted up on parents shoulders when I was a kid, and how that made me feel so tall and invincible.

When I finished this painting and showed it to Whitney, the first thing she said was “double trouble!” And that’s how it came to be titled! These two little cubs have chased each other up a tree and are peeking back at you to see if they’re in trouble!

From the Artist:

I’ve begun a new habit of sketching in a sketchbook each day. I draw whatever is on my heart or in my head. My go-to subject lately has been chickadees! It’s always so much fun to put out seed and watch them flutter around. So it’s no wonder they often find their way into my art. This piece I started working on to just kill time for fun and then it evolved into a fully finished painting! This pair of chickadees have found a wonderful home in the country where they can spend time together, raise their babies, and enjoy each day amongst the wildflowers! That sounds like a loving home!
